Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has promised more support to strengthen the cooperative sector in Goa.
The Chief Minister also felicitated the best-performing Co-operative Societies and individuals for their remarkable contributions to the development of the cooperative sector in the state; and addressed the concluding function of the National Co-operative Week 2024 in the presence of Vishwas Dharkar, Deputy General Manager (NABARD), Ramchandra G. N. Mule, Chairman of The Goa State Coop. Union Ltd, Panaji, Arvind Bugde, Registrar of Cooperative Societies, and other guests.
“I strongly believe that the younger generation needs to be skilled, reskilled, and upskilled to become an integral part of the cooperative sector. Their fresh ideas can boost the sector and extend its benefits to newer areas like handloom and more,” stated the Chief Minister.
“Goa Government will engage with stakeholders to discuss potential support in the coming years to further strengthen the sector. We are committed to supporting those who are contributing to the cooperative sector,” said Dr Sawant.
