Goa Industrial Development Corporation (Goa-IDC) successfully concluded its IDC Connect 2024 held at Verna Industrial Estate that was highlighted by workshop focussed on Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC). The workshop was graced by Swetika Sachan, IAS, Secretary (Industries), Pravimal Abhishek, Managing Director- Goa-IDC; Yatin Kakodkar, Hon-Secretary-GCCI, Pradip Da Costa, President – Verna Industrial Estate Industries Association, Stephen Fernandes, Chief Electrical Engineer, Electricity Department alongwith an enthusiastic participation from various industry representatives across Goa.
Led by Aditi Singha, Vice President – Government of India Expansion Projects, ONDC, the workshop emphasised the transformative power of ONDC in democratising e-commerce. Attendees learned how ONDC enables seamless connections between shoppers, technology platforms, and retailers, thereby revolutionising the e-commerce ecosystem.
Swetika Sachan, IAS, Secretary (Industries), highlighted the significance of such initiatives in driving the industrial growth of Goa, stating: “IDC Connect 2024 and the ONDC workshop represent our commitment to supporting the industrial community in Goa. By embracing innovative platforms like ONDC, we are empowering our industries, especially MSMEs to compete on a larger scale and achieve sustainable growth,” she remarked.
