Goa Medical College, Bambolim, emerged champions in the Inter-Collegiate Chess Championship 2023-24 organised by Goa University at the Sridora Caculo College of Commerce & Management Studies, Mapusa, on 1st & 2nd August, 2023. Anvesh Bandekar of Goa Medical College, was named the best player.
Goa College of Engineering, Farmagudi were the runners-up, while Dhempe College of Arts and Science, Miramar, finished third.
Prof. Santosh Patkar, Principal, Sridora Caculo College of Commerce & Management Studies, Mapusa, was the chief guest; and in the presence of Arvind Mhamal, International Arbiter, and Balachandra B. Jadar, Asst. Director of Physical Education & Sports, Goa University, presented the trophies.
