‘GOA STATE AMRITKAL AGRICULTURE POLICY 2025 HAS INPUTS FROM ALL AGRICULTURAL STAKEHOLDERS’

Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant launched the Goa State Amritkal Agricultural Policy 2025 of Agriculture Department, on Tuesday.

Agriculture Minister Ravi Naik, MLA Premendra Vishnu Shet, Secretary (Agriculture), Arun Kumar Mishra, IAS, Director Agriculture, Sandeep Fol Dessai, Chief Engineer,(WRD), Pramod Badami graced the launch event.

Dr. Sawant emphasised that Government of Goa is committed to preserving and revitalising the state’s agricultural identity. “We have introduced the Goa State Amritkal Agriculture Policy 2025, incorporating valuable inputs from all agricultural stakeholders.”

The Goa State Amritkal Agriculture Policy 2025 aims to promote agro-tourism on larger farmlands, potentially offering a platform for those interested in joining the agricultural sector in the future.

The Chief Minister also asserted that Farmer Welfare Fund Board will be established to efficiently address the welfare needs of farmers primarily engaged in agriculture. “We also plan to devise conflict strategies in collaboration with the Forest Department to curb wildlife entry into our farms,” added Dr Sawant.
