National Sports University (NSU), Imphal and Goa University are set to jointly organise an International Conference on ‘Fit for Life: Empowering Youth through Physical Education, Sports, and Traditional Sports’; along with partner institute Don Bosco College, Panjim, from 18th to 20th February at Goa University campus.
This prestigious conference will serve as a global platform to discuss the role of Physical Education, modern and traditional sports, and innovative training methodologies in fostering youth development and well-being. With a focus on promoting healthy lifestyles and sustainable sports practices, the event will bring together around 250 delegates, including 32 keynote speakers, of whom 26 are international experts from over 16 countries.
Representatives from United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), International Council of Sport Science and Physical Education (ICSSPE), Berlin and International Society for Comparative Physical Education and Sport (ISCPES) are also among the attendees for the conference.
Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant will inaugurate the conference, alongside distinguished academicians, researchers, and sports professionals. Also conference will witness Pre-Conference Workshop on Sports Psychology scheduled for 17th February 2025. The workshop aims to have a hands on experience on use of Neurofeedback and Biofeedback in Psychological Training; and will be held at Don Bosco College, Panjim.
The conference will feature parallel seminar sessions and a Sports Science Exhibition, highlighting advancements in sports medicine, biomechanics, sports analytics, and training innovations.
The International Conference on ‘Fit for Life’ aims to foster global collaborations, shape future sports policies, and empower youth through evidence-based practices in physical education and sports.
