Governor PS Sreedharan Pillai visited the heritage house of Anand Dessai at Lamgao, Bicholim and evinced keen interest in the traditional Kavi Art at his residence.
The Governor said Goa’s unique and traditional technique of painting known as ‘Kavi Art’ is seen in most of the temples, churches in Goa, which he said is very important and needs to be appreciated.
Spouse of the Governor, Rita Sreedharan Pillai, Secretary to the Governor, M. R. M. Rao, IAS and former Secretary, Mihir Vardhan,IAS (Retd.) were present during the visit.
Raj Bhavan Goa, meanwhile, will host a Kavi Art workshop from 13th to 17th February under the guidance of renowned artist Sagar Naik Mule.
