Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant attended the GSCERT Refresher and Felicitation Program of the Goa State Council of Educational Research & Training to mark the completion of an milestone year as an autonomous organisation under the Societies Registration Act.
The Chief Minister also released the GSCERT Chronicle, a testament to the collective progress and commitment to educational excellence.

Dr Sawant hailed the significant milestone, stating: “I extend heartfelt congratulations to the entire GSCERT team, educators, and all stakeholders for their tireless efforts in advancing the implementation of the National Education Policy 2020 in Goa. It was a pleasure to felicitate individuals whose contributions have been invaluable in this journey, including Melvin DeCosta, Sindhu Prabhudesai, Bhushan Bhave, Vilas Satarkar, Prasad Rangenekar, Lona D’Silva, Poornima Kerkar, Vallabh Kelkar, Anjali Malik, Uday Gawkar, and many others who have strengthened the NEP ecosystem in the state.”
Elaborating on the state’s education landscape, the Chief Minister added: “Goa is today recognised across India as a remarkable and progressive state in NEP implementation. Transforming a 40-year-old education system and creating a modern, future-ready syllabus has been a challenging task, yet the dedication of our educators has made it possible. The positive feedback from students, teachers, and parents is deeply encouraging. Our mission is clear: Empower every student, Create opportunities within Goa, Reduce unemployment, Build a model state for NEP implementation as we work towards Viksit Goa.”
