GSIDC SET TO UPGRADE PUBLIC INFRASTRUCTURE, TO  CONSTRUCT NEW BOYS HOSTEL AT GOA MEDICAL COLLEGE

Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC) will be working on several important infrastructure projects aimed at public convenience, urban rejuvenation, and institutional development. Some of them include
new boys hostel at Goa Medical College, old government buildings in Margao.

The infrastructure projects were approved for implementation as Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant chaired the 206th Board Meeting of GSIDC.

“These projects are part of our commitment to upgrade civic infrastructure, improve public utility spaces, and build modern, accessible facilities for our people. GSIDC continues to play a pivotal role in shaping Goa’s infrastructure with quality and speed. We are committed to delivering timely and efficient public infrastructure for a Viksit Goa 2037,” stated the Chief Minister underscoring the significance of the projects.

Here is the list of the approved projects:

•Upgradation of Municipal Market, Sankhali
•Demolition and Reconstruction of St. Estevam Bridge, Tiswadi – ₹21 Cr
•Construction of New Boys Hostel at Goa Medical College, Bambolim – ₹113 Cr
•Redevelopment of Old Government Buildings in Margao, including: Old Collectorate Building, Police Headquarters
•Development of Old Bus Stand, Margao – ₹12 Cr
•Ancillary and Maintenance works at Ravindra Bhavan, Sankhali – ₹3 Cr.
