IM Nitish Belurkar won the ‘Grand Chess Rapid Tournament 2025’ organised by Tiswadi Taluka Chess Association under the aegis of Goa Chess Association.
Nitish scored 8.5 points from 9 rounds as he remained undefeated in the tournament. Devesh Naik and Shubham Sawarkar scored 8 points each.
However, Devesh emerged the runner-up due to a better tie-break score, while Shubham had to be content with being the second runner-up.
