Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant inaugurated a Dialysis Centre at Community Health Centre in
Sankhali. Apex Kidney Care will manage and operate the said Dialysis unit.
The Chief Minister hailed the initiative, but also expressed sadness about another Dialysis unit coming up indicating the deteriorating kidney health in the state a far cry from the days of lone such Centre existing only at Goa Medical College.
“The Dialysis centre shall benefit patients in the region to get regular, affordable services. Our Government has expanded the availability of Dialysis centres, units in the state. I appeal everyone to follow healthy lifestyle as prevention is better than cure,” stated Dr Sawant.
