Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant inaugurated the 1st India International Ayurveda and Wellness Expo & Summit 2026, and unveiled the ‘Goa Wellness, Ayurveda and Yoga Policy 2026’ on Friday.
The summit has been organised by Directorate of Planning, Statistics and Evaluation along with the Goa Council of Ayurvedic and Other Allied Indian System of Medicine at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium, St. Cruz.
Dr. Sawant emphasised that the just-launched ‘Goa Wellness, Ayurveda and Yoga Policy 2026’ will boost the wellness practice in the state which in turn will draw more wellness-seeking tourists.
Rajya Sabha MP Sadanand Shet Tanavade, Chief Secretary, Dr. V. Candavelou, IAS, M.D. of Patanjali Ayurved Ltd, Acharya Balkrishna, AIIA Director Dr. P. K. Prajapati; senior doctors, researchers, and wellness leaders graced the occasion.
