Racing Promotions Pvt. Ltd. (RPPL) is set to ignite the Indian motorsport scene once again with the highly-anticipated Indian Racing Festival 2025 (IRF). Featuring two adrenaline-charged championships – the Indian Racing League (IRL) and the FIA Formula 4 Indian Championship (F4IC), this motorsport spectacle will run from August 24, 2025, to November 17, 2025. With the Goa Street Circuit receiving principal approval from Goa Tourism, the state is set to witness high-octane racing that will attract both Indian and international racers.
By bringing world-class street racing to Goa, IRF aims to elevate the state’s status beyond a leisure destination, positioning it as a vibrant hub for global sporting events, boosting sports tourism and international investments. The Goa Street Circuit joins Hyderabad and Chennai as the third street circuit in the festival’s racing calendar.
The six city-based teams competing for championship glory include: Goa Aces – led by Bollywood icon John Abraham under JA Racing, Kolkata Royal Tigers – owned by cricket legend Sourav Ganguly, Hyderabad Blackbirds – backed by award-winning actor Naga Chaitanya, Speed Demons Delhi – supported by Bollywood star Arjun Kapoor, Bangalore Speedsters, Chennai Turbo Riders.
An elite mix of international and Indian drivers will take to the grid, including Alvaro Parente (Portugal), Fabienne Wohlwend (Liechtenstein), Laura Camps (Spain), Gabriela Jilkova (Czech Republic), Raoul Hyman (Britain), Neel Jani (Switzerland), Alister Yoong (Malaysia), and Jon Lancaster (Britain). Leading the charge for India are Sohil Shah, Sandeep Kumar, Mohd Ryan, Nikhil Bohra, Anindith Reddy, Rishon Rajeev, Akhil Rabindra, Akash Gowda, Kyle Kumaran, Ruhaan Alva, and Sai Sanjay.
IRL remains committed to gender inclusivity, with female racers like Laura Camps, Gabriela Jilkova, Fabienne Wohlwend, Angelique Detavernier, Caitlyn Wood, and Shriya Lohiya competing at the highest level. In 2023, Sarah Moore made history as the first female winner in IRF, proving that motorsport knows no boundaries.
Akhilesh Reddy, Chairman & Managing Director of RPPL, said: “The Indian Racing Festival 2025 is set to redefine motorsports in India, pushing the boundaries of speed, skill, and spectacle like never before. This season, we are thrilled to bring the high-octane action to the vibrant streets of Goa, a destination synonymous with energy, passion, and world-class experiences. Motorsport is no longer a niche sport in India; with the Indian Racing League and the FIA Formula 4 Indian Championship, we are building a thriving ecosystem that nurtures talent, attracts global recognition, and cements India’s place on the international motorsport map. The IRF is more than just a competition—it’s a revolution, and Goa is the perfect stage to take this movement to the next level.”
Bollywood Superstar and Goa Aces team owner under JA Racing, John Abraham, shared his thoughts on the Goa debut, stating: “Motorsport is thrilling, intense, and electrifying – just like Goa! I am beyond excited to bring the Goa Aces to our home circuit. The Goa Street Race will be one of the most exciting races of the season, and I can’t wait to see the energy, passion, and speed take over the streets.”
About the Indian Racing Festival:
The Indian Racing Festival (IRF) is India’s premier motorsport event designed to captivate the nation’s growing motorsport fan base. Under the IRF banner, two flagship championships take centre stage:
• The Indian Racing League (IRL): India’s only franchise-based four-wheel racing league and the world’s first gender-neutral motorsport championship. Featuring six city-based teams, IRL promotes inclusivity and competitive spirit.
• Formula 4 Indian Championship (F4IC): An FIA-certified, open-wheel, single-seater racing series, serving as the first step on the ladder for aspiring young drivers transitioning from karting to single-seater racing. With FIA Super License points awarded, Indian drivers now have the opportunity to develop their careers at home rather than going abroad.
