PANAJI: India’s first-ever non-vegetarian idly has arrived! ‘Ohh Idly’ food startup promoted by entrepreneur Gargi Chowdhury, Director; has been handheld by GSB Research & Consulting Pvt Ltd. The brand was unveiled on Monday in the presence of GSB Chief Executive Officer, Gourab Sarkar, chef Sunit Sharma and Ohh Idly legal advisor, Adv. Yogesh Naik.
“In this digital era, cloud kitchen is the way to go. We are opening our base kitchen in Bardez. We plan to launch food vans across important beaches also generating local employment,” said Chowdhury at the launch programme.
Helping start-ups from the product ideation to the market launch, GSB Ecosystem claims to be the business doctor that can resolve all issues in any sector. And Sarkar has welcomed all start-ups from Goa to make it big.
“If you apply science, a bit of art and technology; more variations of food come up. You will be surprised at the way idly can be shaped and eaten… Why do we have only white idly or some coloured idly with sambhars? Or sweet idly, ‘sannas’ with jaggery… Idly can be done with seafood, poultry, chocolate etc…we will be surprising you over the next few months as the launch is a process,” said Ohh Idly consultant Sunit Sharma, who is a certified executive chef by IFCA & WACS and a team member for three Guinness World Records by Goa’s chef body from 2017-19 with largest fishcake, chocolate mudpie and bread pudding.
