Goa Branch of the Western India Regional Council (WIRC) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is set to launch its momentous golden jubilee anniversary celebration for serving the accounting profession and community in Goa for 50 years since establishment of the Goa Branch. The milestone will be commemorated with a grand event on 4th July 2023, stated a press release.
Established in 1974, the Goa Branch of WIRC of ICAI has been a cornerstone in the growth and development of the accounting profession in Goa. Over the past five decades, it has played a pivotal role in nurturing and empowering Chartered Accountants, while upholding the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and integrity.
The 50th Anniversary celebration will be an occasion to honour and acknowledge the exceptional contributions made by the Goa Branch to the accounting fraternity, as well as to recognise the achievements of its members, who have excelled in various fields of finance and business.
This golden milestone also serves as a testament to the continuous dedication, hard work, and resilience of the members and stakeholders of the Goa Branch. The branch has been instrumental in organising numerous professional development programmes, workshops, seminars, and conferences that have contributed to the growth of the accounting profession and enhanced the skills of its members.
The 50th anniversary celebration is a time to reflect on the achievements of the past and look ahead to a promising future. It is an occasion to strengthen the commitment to excellence, innovation, and ethical practices within the accounting profession.
The Goa Branch of WIRC of ICAI extends its gratitude to all its members, past and present, for their invaluable contributions, and invites them to join in the celebration of this remarkable milestone.
From a small office at Indraprastha Building on MG Road-Panaji with 50 members then, the Goa Branch membership has grown tremendously and currently has a strength of more than 600 members, and has a state of art ‘ICAI Bhavan’ at Kadamba Plateau, Plot No. 31 New National Highway 4A Tiswadi Goa. The Bhavan consists of a 150 – capacity auditorium, IT Lab, lecture rooms, reading room, library, guest room, administrative block & cafeteria. It has been actively promoting the highest standards of professional competence and integrity among its members, while providing a platform for their continued professional development. The branch organises various events and initiatives to foster knowledge sharing, networking, and collaboration among chartered accountants in the region.
