Several people including tourists today visited Raj Bhavan, at Dona Paula, as part of a free tour of the historic place, on the occasion of Goa Liberation Day.
A press communique from the Raj Bhavan informs that Governor of Goa, P. S. Sreedharan Pillai, had initiated the free tour of the Raj Bhavan so that general public could visit the heritage building. It was also the first time in the history, people visited Raj Bhavan without any charge.

This initiative received overwhelming response from the general public, visitors and tourists. People from various walks of life, visited Raj Bhavan. The visitors were taken around in groups and shown Raj Bhavan Palace, Chapel, Museum, vintage ‘Cadillac’ car, Old Durbar Hall, Conference Hall, Dining room, heritage structures and antique items in the Raj Bhavan complex.
