Sachi Dessai, Tisha Shaikh, Chandan Caro, Ruhaan Shaikh, and Rishan Shaikh have moved into the finals in their respective categories at the ongoing MCC All Goa Major Ranking Table Tennis Tournament, at multipurpose stadium, Fatorda. The tournament, organised by Margao Cricket Club, Margao, under the aegis of the Goa Table Tennis Association, witnessed matches in cadet and sub junior age groups.
In U11 Girls Singles, Sachi Dessai will face Tisha Shaikh. Sachi earned her spot in the finals after a challenging match against Kavya Mahambre, winning 3-1. Tisha Shaikh secured her place by upsetting Inara D’Souza with a 3-1 victory.
In U13 Boys Singles finals, top seed Chandan Caro will compete against Ruhaan Shaikh. Chandan cruised past Chinmay Bakhare 3-0, while Ruhaan triumphed over Vedant Wagle with a similar 3-0 scoreline in the other semifinals. Chandan Caro will also compete in the U15 Boys finals against Rishan Shaikh, following their identical 3-0 victories over Yug Prabhu and Atharva Dhulapkar, respectively.
In other spirited performances, Maryan Rodrigues, Anaya Shukla, Sheniz Xavier, and Anannya Prabhudessai reached the U11 Girls quarterfinals, before bowing out. In the Boys U13 category, Yuvaan Sanke, Mark Da Costa, Ishaan Colaso, and Yug Prabhu made it to the quarterfinals. The U15 Boys quarterfinalists included Pratham Kaisare, Chinmay Bakhare, Ayush Sahakari, and Ruhaan Shaikh.
