Furthering its commitment to health and sustainability, Molbio has partnered with the Goa CSR Authority to donate ten electric garbage collection vehicles to the Sankhali Municipal Council, Goa.
Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant graced the occasion as the vehicles were officially handed over to the Sankhali Municipal Council. These vehicles will be used across the Sankhali constituency to support daily waste collection and promote a cleaner, greener environment. This initiative ties in with the Chief Minister’s push for sustainable, non-polluting technologies and is recognised under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan.
The electric vehicles will transport domestic waste from various collection points to the main sanitary landfill, helping reduce fuel consumption and operating costs of up to several lakhs per annum. This move reflects a practical and responsible step toward lowering the environmental impact of essential municipal services while enabling cost-effective methods of keeping the state municipality machinery running smoothly.
The contribution also reflects Molbio’s broader vision of integrating sustainability into its core strategy. By supporting clean, efficient technologies, Molbio continues to align its business objectives with long-term environmental impact and social responsibility.
“At Molbio, we believe innovation should serve both people and the planet. Clean surroundings have a direct impact on quality of life, and these electric vehicles are a small but meaningful step toward healthy living leading to a more sustainable future. We’re glad to play our part in shaping that future,” said Amol Lone, President & Chief Financial Officer, Molbio Diagnostics Limited.
