The 24th National Para Swimming Championships took off on a rousing note with top talents from all over the country making their presence felt right from the start.
In the men’s S-4 even, Lakhan Singh from Rajasthan secured the Gold medal, while Kamalkant from Odisha took home the Silver. In Men’s S-5, Narahari from Odisha won Gold, Lakshman Rao from Andhra Pradesh claimed Silver, and Mohammad Shams Aalam from Bihar earned Bronze. For Junior Boys S-2, Muhammed Aasim from Kerala won Gold, and in Sub Junior Boys S-5, Aniket Chid Ambar from Karnataka took Gold. In Event 2, Riya Sachin from Maharashtra won Gold in Junior Girls S-5.
In Event 3, for the S-6 100m freestyle, Chaitanya Vishwas from Maharashtra secured Gold, Rajendra Singh from Uttarakhand won Silver, and Chaitanya from Odisha took Bronze. In Men’s S-7, Gold went to Tejas and Silver to Gopichand, both from Karnataka, with Charith from Andhra Pradesh winning Bronze. Shridhar from Karnataka won Gold in Men’s S-8, while Praneth from Andhra Pradesh secured Bronze. In Men’s S-9, Sahil Rajaram and Amol P. from Karnataka took Gold and Silver respectively, with Vikram Singh from Rajasthan earning Bronze. In Men’s S-10, Kapil Kumar from SSCB won Gold, Ajay Hindurao from Maharashtra won Silver, and Swapnil Sanjay from Maharashtra took Bronze. For Junior Boys S-7, Gold was won by Eeshan from Karnataka, while Kausar Sahil from Andhra Pradesh won Gold in Junior Boys S-8, followed by Silver medalist Srinikesh Kiran from Telangana and Bronze medalist Boyina from Andhra Pradesh. In Junior Boys S-9, Mohit Kumar from Bihar took Gold and Sarang from Maharashtra earned Silver, with Gold for S-10 going to Hari Shankar from Tamil Nadu, followed by Omkar A from Maharashtra with Silver and Arnab from West Bengal with Bronze. In Sub Junior Boys S-7, Sabari Anand. R from Tamil Nadu claimed Gold, while Hariom from Maharashtra secured Gold in S-8. For S-9, Mugunthan from Tamil Nadu won Gold and Arnav from Chandigarh took Silver, and in S-10, Surti from Gujarat earned Gold, Lakshya from Delhi won Silver, and Hardik from West Bengal received Bronze.
In Event 4, for Women’s S-6, Sathi from the PCI Team won Gold, Kabita from Odisha took Silver, and Pappu Devi from Rajasthan earned Bronze. In S-7, Gold was secured by Sadhana Mallik from Rajasthan, while Vaishnavi Vinod from Maharashtra won Gold in S-8 and Deepa V. from Karnataka claimed Silver. For S-9, Gold was taken by Shashruti Vinayak from Maharashtra, Silver by Monika from Haryana, and Bronze by Jambuben from Gujarat. In S-10, Devanshi from Haryana won Gold, Sita Devi from Rajasthan claimed Silver, and Sonam from Madhya Pradesh took Bronze. In Junior Girls S-6, Deepanwita from West Bengal won Gold, while in S-7, Saee M. from Maharashtra won Gold and Sharanya S. from Karnataka earned Silver. For Junior Girls S-8, Asmita from West Bengal secured Gold, followed by Jiya from Rajasthan with Silver and Aneesha from West Bengal with Gold. In Sub Junior Girls S-6, Adruta from Karnataka won Gold, while in S-8, Abha Ganesh from Maharashtra took Gold. Finally, in Sub Junior Girls S-10, Devanshi Manoj from Gujarat won Gold, and Yesmina from Assam claimed Silver.
In Event 5, for Men’s S-5 in the 100m Freestyle, Ramnivas from Rajasthan won Gold, Aryan B from Maharashtra secured Silver, and Munna from Delhi earned Bronze. For Junior Boys S-11, Gold was claimed by Suraj from Rajasthan. In Sub Junior Boys S-11, Amogh Sanju from Karnataka took Gold, while in Men’s S-12, Ali from West Bengal won Gold, with Manoj and Abhineet from Rajasthan taking Silver and Bronze respectively. In Junior Boys S-12, R V V Bhavani Karthik from Andhra Pradesh earned Gold, while Sukrut Yankappa from Karnataka secured Silver. In Sub Junior Boys S-12, Chinmay Vithal from Karnataka won Gold and Mohammed Mihaj C from Kerala earned Silver. For Men’s S-13, Parmanand from Chhattisgarh took Gold, Ganesh Meena from Rajasthan won Silver, and Suresh from Andhra Pradesh secured Bronze. For Sub Junior Girls S-11, Ramya Ganesh from Karnataka won Gold, while in Women’s S-13, Astha from Haryana took Gold and Sandra Davis K. from Kerala secured Silver. In the Women’s S-14 100m Freestyle, Rucha from Maharashtra won Gold, Niti Rakeshbhai from Gujarat took Silver, and Pooja G. Gaikavada earned Bronze. For Junior Girls S-14, Gold was secured by Varda Santosh from Maharashtra, while Sai Jagruthi G. from Karnataka took Silver and Saniya Abdul from Maharashtra earned Bronze. In Sub Junior Girls S-14, Priya from Karnataka claimed Gold and Sanjana from Andhra Pradesh secured Silver. In Event 14, for Women S-13, Sandra Davis K from Kerala won Gold, and Hiraben B from Gujarat earned Silver. For Sub Junior Girls S-13, Sakshi Mallu from Karnataka claimed Gold. The results showcase the remarkable performances of the athletes across various categories and events, reflecting their dedication and talent in the championship.
