Collector North Goa and Chairman, North Goa District Mineral Foundation (NGDMF), Ankit Yadav, IAS, conducted a comprehensive field visit to review NGDMF-funded projects across Bicholim and Sattari Talukas.
The visit began with inspection of the ongoing construction of a Material Recovery Facility at Village Panchayat Pilgao, Bicholim. It was followed by a review of the newly-installed Smart Classrooms and STEAM Labs at Government HSS Sanquelim, as part of a broader project covering 10 Government schools of North Goa.
At Government College Sanquelim, two recently sanctioned initiatives were assessed—one relating to auditorium and seminar hall acoustics and soundproofing, and another for developing a medicinal garden and undertaking tree plantation within the college campus.
At Cudnem, the GOVAN Multi-Processing Centre, part of a cluster of five such centres in North Goa implemented by the Goa State Biodiversity Board, was also a part of their itinerary.
The visit concluded at Village Panchayat Honda, Sattari, where a 15kWp Solar Power Plant is currently under installation.
The Collector was accompanied by Vinayak Chari, Deputy Collector (Revenue); Ratnakant Govenker, Member Secretary, NGDMF; and Dr. Sachin Tendulkar, Team Lead of the DMF PMU, during the inspection.
