Department of Science Technology and Waste Management, Government of Goa, will organise the 5th edition of Manohar Parrikar Vidnyan Mahotsav on 13th December 2023 at the NIO auditorium at Dona Paula on Wednesday morning.
The highlight of this year’s event will be the presentation of the inaugural Manohar Parrikar Yuva Scientist Award to Dr Mathavaraj S of the UR Rao Satelite Centre-ISRO.
Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant will grace the occasion and present the prestigious award which comprises 5 lakh rupees and a citation that also happens to be the highest cash prize in science and technology field in the country.
ISRO chairman Dr S. Somnath will deliver the key note address. Former Chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission of India, Dr Anil Kakodkar, who also chaired the Expert Committee to select the Yuva scientist awardee, will also speak on the occasion.
The following lineup of distinguished speakers will enlighten the gathering at eight other venues across Goa on the same day.
