Goa Guardians bounced back in style at the RR Kabel Prime Volleyball League powered by Scapia, securing a resounding 3–0 (15-11, 15-8, 15-6) win over the Kolkata Thunderbolts at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium on Tuesday.

The Guardians displayed complete control from start to finish, showcasing their trademark aggression and teamwork. Rohit Yadav, who orchestrated the offense with precision, was rightfully adjudged the Player of the Match. With this victory, Goa climbed to fourth on the points table with 11 points, keeping playoff hopes alive.

Right from the first serve, the Guardians stamped their intent. Prince and Dushyant were on fire through the middle, while Jerry Daniel’s electric super serve gave Goa an early edge. The Thunderbolts tried to fight back through Pankaj Sharma’s power serves, but Chirag Yadav’s service pressure restored Goa’s momentum.

As the game progressed, Rohit Yadav kept Kolkata’s defense guessing, setting up explosive spikes for Jerry, Chirag, and Nathaniel Dickinson. Prince’s commanding presence at the net strengthened the block line, while Dushyant’s defensive awareness ensured Kolkata couldn’t find an opening.

Goa’s attacking rhythm was relentless – each serve, block, and spike executed with precision. Dickinson’s thunderous super serve widened the lead, pushing Goa closer to a clean sweep. Despite Kolkata’s late resistance through Rahul K and Suryansh Tomar, Goa’s balance between power and composure sealed the deal. A trademark Jerry Daniel super serve closed the match, symbolizing Goa’s dominance and collective spirit.

Speaking after the match, Head Coach T.C. Jothish praised the team’s character, “The boys showed hunger and discipline today. Every player stepped up when it mattered. This win reflects what Goa Guardians stand for – belief, unity, and fight.”
