Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant inaugurated the 11th special edition of Grand Asturi 2024, organised by the Women’s Wing of the Goa Chamber of Commerce & Industry (GCCI) and supported by the Union Ministry of MSME under the Procurement & Marketing Scheme, in the presence of GCCI President Shrinivas Dempo and other dignitaries.
This event also includes specially curated stalls showcasing the talent of Divyang entrepreneurs. The initiative serves as a platform to empower and uplift women entrepreneurs from Goa and across India.
“Notably, the Interest-Free Loans Scheme by the Rural Development Agency has been instrumental in fostering women-led businesses. Aligned with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi who aims to create “Lakhpati Didis” through Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and similar programs, this event is a testament to the collective efforts towards economic empowerment. I urge all Goans to visit the stalls at the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium and extend their support to these inspiring women entrepreneurs. Your encouragement can make a real difference!,” stated the Chief Minister.
