In a celebration of youthful prowess and sporting excellence, the Republic Cup Badminton League Team Event is set to enthrall fans and enthusiasts alike at the Navelim Indoor Stadium in Goa on Republic Day, January 26. Organised by Panjim Smashers Club and Sunlite Sports and Cultural Club under the aegis of Goa Badminton Association, this event, specifically designed for players of ages 21 years and below, promises to be a thrilling showcase of badminton talent in a team championship format.
The competition will witness eight teams vying for the championship prizes and trophies in an exciting round-robin league format. Each team boasts a combination of skilled players, and the event is expected to be a hotbed of competition and camaraderie. Each team comprises of 12 players, the following being the key players who will be seen in action:

The organising committee comprises of Bhushan Vernekar and Chinmay Kamat who are the Tournament Directors. Vinayak Kamat serves as the Technical Advisor, while Sandeep Heble (Secretary, Goa Badminton Association), Praveen Shenoy (Secretary, South Goa District Badminton Association), Arnold Rodrigues, and Rupchandra Humraskar are other key members of the organising committee.
