Steady winds finally set in at around noon and the windsurfer earnestly cast of for another day of great racing with Raceboard and Techno 293OD classes taking the start, on Day 2 of Sail Goa 2025 organised by Goa Yachting Association at Dona Paula.
In the Olympic Class iQFOiL after poor winds on day caused the races to be abandoned on Day 1, the iQFOiLers were eager to get a start and Day 2 saw 4 races in the Slalom style. Since the top six Windsurfers are participating at an Olympic Trial Event in France, Goa has become the discovery event for new younger talent which is eager to breakout on the international circuit in the coming year.
In the iQFOiL Men’s category, Sachin Ganesh of TNSA is the lead with 2 guns while S Maneesh Rajaa of AYN in second place is ahead of Eabad Ali of AYN even though both are tied on same points. In the iQFOiL Youth Men’s category, Vinay V Kulabkar of Navy Boys School Company, Goa took all 4 guns to take the lead. In the iQFOiL Youth women category, Ovie Nair of INWTC Mumbai is in first place.
In the Open Foil Category, NS Rawat of INWTC Goa is in first place with all 4 guns ahead of Vedparaksh Pathak of AYN Mumbai in Second and Aryan Patidar NSS Bhopal in Third.
In the Raceboard Men’s event, Chennaiah from EMESC Bhopal Army Club has maintained his lead ahead of Mithilesh Kumar of Army Yacthing Node, Mumbai and Kamalapti of EMESC, Bhopal.
In the Raceboard U21 Boys category, Raj Santosh Patil of Yachting Association of Maharashtra (YAM), consolidated his lead ahead of Narayan Munda of Odisha Yachting Association in second place and Sai Patil of YAM in Third.
In the Raceboard U21 Girls category Prarthana Bhoi of NSS Bhopal tokk all 3 guns to overtake Tejasvi Prajapati of NSS Bhopal for the First place while Thimiti Rashmita overtook M K Pragath for 3rd place .
In the Techno U15 Girls category Naavya Kaku of YAM is leading Vaishnavi Kajale MG&G Area Sailing club of Army and Priyanshi Patil of YAM. In the Techno 293OD U15 Boys category Udaiveer Singh Johal of MG&G Area Sailing club is leading Mohit Mhatre of YAM and Sohan Rajput of NSS Bhopal.
