A special Camp focussing on awareness and facilitation of Forest Rights claims under Forest Rights Act 2012 was held in Sattari and Sanguem.
The camp was organised at the Office of the Deputy-Collector Sattari. The camp was jointly organised with the participation of the District Administration, Tribal Welfare Department and Forest Department with an aim to assist the forest dwellers in the difficulties faced in processing their claims.
A special camp was organised by Office of the Deputy Collector and SDO Sanguem in collaboration with Tribal Welfare Department, under the Dharti Aaba Abhiyan at Municipality Hall, Sanguem.
A one-day special camp to fast-track claims under the Scheduled Tribes and Other Traditional Forest Dwellers (Recognition of Forest Rights) Act, 2006 was held at the Office of the Deputy Collector & Sub-Divisional Officer, Ponda.
Convened under the direct supervision of Shubham Naik, Deputy Collector, Ponda, and Chairperson of the Sub-Divisional Level Committee (SDLC); the camp brought together officials from the Tribal Welfare, Forest and Revenue departments, along with the village panchayats of Bethoda, Borim, Conxem, Ganjem, Shiroda, Usgao and Nirancal.
