In a strategic move to bolster grassroots football in Goa, Sporting Clube de Goa has inked Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with two leading educational institutions — Saraswat Vidhyalaya High School in Mapusa and Sacred Heart of Jesus High School in Anjuna.

These new alliances are aimed at bringing structured football training and broader exposure to young talent, particularly from areas beyond Goa’s urban centers. The club’s focus is on ensuring that promising players from rural and semi-urban regions get access to quality coaching and development opportunities.

Commenting on the initiative, Sporting Clube de Goa’s CEO Welvin Menezes said, “We’re committed to tapping into the vast, often overlooked talent pool across the state. By collaborating with schools like these, we’re laying the groundwork to discover and nurture future football talent from all corners of Goa.”

Under the MoUs, the club will soon roll out dedicated coaching sessions, scouting camps, and talent development activities at both partner schools. These efforts form part of Sporting Clube de Goa’s broader vision to create a sustainable pipeline of local talent.

With this latest initiative, the club reinforces its role as a driving force in Goa’s football landscape and continues its long-standing commitment to fostering the next generation of players.
