St. Xavier’s College, Mapusa has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with
Qurious Mind Infotainment Pvt. Ltd. to introduce structured Robotics and STEM education programmes for students, strengthening the institution’s focus on experiential
and technology-enabled learning.
The MoU was formally signed on 15 January 2026 by Ursula Barreto, Officiating Principal, St. Xavier’s College, Mapusa, and Yogesh Kerkar, Managing Director, Qurious Mind Infotainment Pvt. Ltd., in the presence of faculty members, programme coordinators, and witnesses from both institutions.
The Robotics Programme will be coordinated at St. Xavier’s College by Sandra Fernandes, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, who has been designated as the Faculty In-Charge for the initiative.
The signing was witnessed by Bhikaji Gawde and Ms. Rosalina Lobo, marking the formal commencement of the collaboration.
Under the MoU, Qurious Mind Infotainment Pvt. Ltd. will deliver progressive, hands-on
robotics training programmes covering construction, programming, and Arduino-based
learning, aligned with STEM education methodologies. The programme will be conducted
in a manner that does not disrupt the College’s regular academic schedule.
Qurious Mind will provide trained faculty, robotics kits, learning materials, and certification to students completing the programme. An annual Robotics Exhibition will also be organised to enable students to showcase their projects and innovations.
St. Xavier’s College will support the programme by providing dedicated infrastructure and academic facilitation, reinforcing its commitment to holistic, skill-oriented education.
The collaboration reflects a shared vision to empower students with future-ready skills, problem-solving abilities, and hands-on exposure to emerging technologies, while
strengthening industry–academia engagement.
