The Goa Postal Division of the Department of Post opened a Sub Post Office at the High Court of Bombay at Goa, Porvorim, on Saturday. The inaugural ceremony was attended by Justice Bharat P. Deshpande, and Justice Valmiki Menezes, High Court of Bombay at Goa.
During the event, passbooks for Post Office Savings Bank accounts were distributed to the clients of the Goa High Court Sub Post Office.
Ramesh P. Patil, Director of Postal Services, Goa Region, Panaji, who was also present at the occasion, said that the new Sub Post Office will provide a comprehensive array of postal services, designed to meet the needs of the High Court’s staff, legal practitioners, and the public at large.
The inauguration was also attended by S.V.L.N. Rao, Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Goa Division; Pravin N. Faldessai, Assistant Solicitor General of India, High Court of Bombay at Goa; J. Coelho Pereira, Sr. Advocate & President of the High Court Bar Association-Goa; and Raviraj Chodankar-CGSC, alongside other dignitaries and representatives from the High Court and the Postal Department.
The opening of the Goa High Court Sub Post Office marks a significant enhancement in the accessibility of postal services within this critical judicial enclave, reinforcing the postal department’s commitment to serving the community with efficiency and convenience.
