VERNA INDUSTRIES ASSOCIATION WELCOMES GOA TRANSPORT AGGREGATOR 2025 INITIATIVE

The Verna Industries Association (VIA) in a press statement, has welcomed the introduction of the Goa Transport Aggregator Guidelines 2025 by the Government of Goa.

VIA stated: “The availability of app-based taxi services under a fair and transparent regulatory framework is a much-needed intervention to improve workforce mobility and enhance the overall industrial ecosystem in the state.

Verna Industrial Estate, being one of Goa’s largest and most active manufacturing hubs, employs
thousands of workers and professionals who rely on dependable transport to commute safely and efficiently. The lack of structured, app-based taxi services has long posed challenges in terms of accessibility, especially for shift workers, women employees, and those travelling from peripheral
areas. These guidelines provide a workable solution by ensuring reliable service delivery while
safeguarding the earnings of local taxi operators.

“VIA supports this reform for its potential to improve employee productivity, reduce traffic
congestion, and expand access to industrial zones. We urge the government to implement the
guidelines in a time-bound manner and call upon all stakeholders to participate constructively in
building a mobility ecosystem that meets the growing needs of Goa’s industrial sector.”
