Industries Minister, Mauvin Godinho inaugurated Phase III, the final phase, of the Wealth Out of Waste (WooW) Plant at Chicalim, marking a significant milestone in the journey towards scientific and cost-effective waste management.
With the addition of a new 5 Tonnes per Day (TPD) biomethanization plant, the facility’s total capacity now stands at 15 TPD—10 TPD of wet waste converted into energy and 5 TPD of dry waste recycling and processing.
This state-of-the-art facility is self-sustaining and serves as a model for waste management across Goa and India.
