Minister for Environment & Climate Change, Aleixo Sequeira appealed to citizens to take a proactive role in preserving wetlands, emphasising the collective responsibility for environmental well-being. He was speaking at the State-level celebration of ‘World Wetlands Day 2024’ at Saulem Lake-Pilerne.
The programme was organised by the Goa State Wetland Authority (GSWA) under the Department of Environment and Climate Change.
The theme for this year is Wetlands & Human Wellbeing. A brochure ‘Wetlands of Goa’ was released on the occasion. MLA of Saligao, Kedar Naik, Director, Environment & Climate Change Member Secretary, GSWA, Johnson B. Fernandes, among others were also present.
