PANAJI: Igor Angulo scored his third goal in three matches but a win eludes FC Goa in the HeroISL 2020 as the hosts were held to a 1-1 draw by NorthEast United at Fatorda on Monday. Juan Ferrando’s boys have drawn two of their games and lost one match so far this season.
Although FC Goa dominated possession in the first half, it was the Highlanders who took the lead from a penalty kick. In what seemed a very soft penalty, Ivan Gonzalez was deemed to have brought Idrissa Sylla down in the box. The Ghanaian himself scored from the spot in the 40th minute.
Experienced Spanish forward Igor Angulo brought the Gaurs back into the game just two minutes later with an expert first-time finish off India midfielder Brandon Fernandes’ low cross.
