NAVELIM: Arjun Tanaji Birajdar [1], Vamsi Krishna Jarugumilli [2], Sandeep Kumar R. [4] and Rajdeep Bora [3] moved into Under 15 Boys Singles Round 4, at the Yonex Sunrise All India Sub Junior Badminton Ranking Tournament at Goa.
In Under 15 Girls Singles, Seeza (1),
Sampriti Pal [2], Hitha Maria Jose and Ishika Poddar [3] sealed their place into round 3 qualifying.
Meanwhile, Doubles and Mixed Doubles rounds commenced on day 3 of the National Ranking Tournament underway at the two qualifying venues at Fatorda and Navelim. Among those to match into round 2 were Goa’s Yash Desai and Sriya Saraf in Under 17 Mixed Doubles. Several other Goan players will be in contention as the tournament progresses on day 4.
The eight day national ranking tournament has been organised by Goa Badminton Association under the aegis of Badminton Association of India, and in collaboration with North Goa District Badminton Association and the Sports Authority of Goa. The qualifying matches will continue for the next one and half days, followed by the main draw which begins on Wednesday afternoon.
