PANAJI: Sesa Football Academy registered a 2-1 win over Chapora Yuvak Sangh in the final to win the Goa Police Cup 2022 football tournament at Duler stadium.
Omkar Shetgaonkar and Faheez Mohammad scored a goal each for Sesa in the second half after Chapora Yuvak Sangh had taken the lead against the run of play in the first half.
Annanya Agarwal, President of Vedanta Sports, congratulated team SFA for the stupendous performance throughout the tournament.
Faheez Mohammad was adjudged player of the tournament, while Sesa captain Dominic Soares was named the player of the match. Roanal Gaunkar bagged the best goalkeeper of the tournament prize. The historic Goa Police Football Cup, which was started in 1968, is organised by Goa Police Sports Cell under the aegis of Goa Football Association.
