Aaron Farias and Anshuman Agarwal showcased their exceptional class, awe-inspiring skills and talent, solidifying their spots in the finals of the prestigious 7th YMCA Table Tennis Ranking Tournament.
The season-opening State Ranking tournament, held in collaboration with Goa Table Tennis Association, is currently underway at the Indoor Stadium in Campal.
Joining Aaron Farias and Anshuman in the finals; on a day of sub-junior and junior events, were the promising young players Adeetya Bora and Divyansh Kashyap who competed fiercely to seal their final berths.
In the much-anticipated Under 15 Boys Finals, Adeetya Bora is set to face off against Divyansh Kashyap in a thrilling clash for the championship title. Both players have showcased their exceptional abilities and secured their spots in the finals after defeating tough opponents. Adeetya Bora emerged victorious against Chandan Caro in a dominating 3-0 victory, while Divyansh Kashyap triumphed over Khushal Naik with a score of 3-1.
Meanwhile, the Under 17 Boys Finals will witness an exciting match between Aaron Farias and Divyansh Kashyap. Aaron Farias showcased his resilience in a nail-biting quarterfinals match against Ayaan Aziz, which he won with a score of 3-2. In the semifinals, Aaron Farias demonstrated his skill once again, defeating Adeetya Bora with a commanding 3-0 victory. Divyansh Kashyap also exhibited his prowess, overcoming Lamjingba Leishangthem with a score of 3-1 in the semifinals.
In the Under 19 Boys Finals, Aaron Farias will face Anshuman Agarwal in a high-stakes battle for the championship title. Aaron Farias displayed his talent and determination throughout the tournament, securing his place in the finals after defeating formidable opponents like Ayaan Aziz and Rishan Shaikh with scores of 3-0 and 3-1, respectively. Anshuman Agarwal showcased why he’s rated very highly by outplaying Chandan Caro in the quarterfinals with a score of 3-0 and later triumphing over Atharv Dhulapkar in the semifinals with a 3-1 victory.
