Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant believes Goa’s Veterinary Services will become more efficient after being provided 2-wheelers to aid their mobility needs.
In order to make the Veterinary aid reach far and wide across the State, Dr Sawant handed over 2-Wheelers for the usage of Veterinary doctors, assistants so that they can provide relief to animals and farmers anywhere and any time!
The Flag-Off event of 21 two-wheelers to Veterinary Establishments, was organised by Department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services in the presence of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services Minister, Nilkant Halarnkar.
In his address on the occasion, the CM said: “The Government of Goa is committed to the vision of Antyodaya and I am sure the Veterinary Establishment shall reach to the last mile with the Two Wheelers, to serve the Farmers, for Animal Welfare.”
With this scheme, the quality of the State veterinary department will be raised to a higher level, said the Chief Minister. ” As such, we will be able to provide much better services for animal welfare. It will also be beneficial in terms of increase in milk production as the health of the cows, will also get a boost. The state government will be consistently providing the support in this direction,” added Dr Sawant.
Secretary of Animal Husbandry Veterinary Services, Sarpreet Singh Gill, IAS, Director, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services, Dr. Agostinho Misquita were also present for the event.
