Tribal Research Institute of Goa was inaugurated, at Sanguem on Sunday. Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant, Speaker of Goa Legislative Assembly, Ramesh Tawadkar, Minister of Social Welfare Subhash Phal Dessai graced the occasion.
“I am certain that the research institute will act as a foundation for fostering tribal culture and community in Goa. The valuable heritage that will be unearthed through the research will proudly enrich Goa’s cultural fabric,” tweeted the Chief Minister.
The institute has been developed by Goa State Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation Limited under the aegis of the centrally sponsored scheme by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India.
