“Rabindra Kabya Rahasya” a Bengali film directed by Sayantan Ghosal, was premiered at the 54th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) today under the Indian Panorama section. The film is competing for the prestigious ICFT – UNESCO Gandhi Medal at IFFI alongside ten other notable films.
In an interaction with the media delegates, the director expressed his elation on the nomination of the film for the esteemed Gandhi medal under the Indian Panorama at IFFI. Speaking about the film, Ghosal shared insights into its intricate plot, describing it as an adventure-filled saga with elements of mystery.
Talking about the film, the producer Himanshu Dhanuka said the film poses the protagonist Priyanshu Chatterjee representing the multifaceted persona of Tagore, embarking on a journey to solve a murder mystery set in the contemporary era, unravelling a narrative woven across two distinct timelines. The film stands as an ode to the mystical realms of Rabindranath Tagore’s poetry, exploring the complexities of human emotions and identity,” said Dhanuka.
Dhanuka also said that the film, intertwining two timelines in a captivating narrative will leave an indelible imprint on hearts and minds, much like the eternal verses of Rabindranath Tagore.
He said that the film is set to captivate audiences in West Bengal and theatres nationwide early next year.
