Nevertheless in the recent times, Goa is witnessing an initiative aimed at promoting health and nutrition. ‘Poshan Pakhwada’ is helping people rediscover the health secret from the times of our grandparents with nutritious ingredients and methods on show in community kitchens.
‘Amma ki Rasoi’, has been the most interesting activity in this fortnight of healthy initiative where families come together to prepare nutritious meals in line with the culinary heritage as the age-old recipes are passed on to the new generations. ‘Fun with Nutrition’ sessions have been conducted to send out the message of balanced diet’s importance via games and activities.
While rural areas are at the forefront of conservation of traditional food habits, the urban regions are seen to be relying heavily on food delivery platforms due to various reasons. However, mass efforts like
