Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Saturday, interacted with Swayampurna Mitras, Panchayat members, Teachers and praised their effort in implementation of the ‘Swayampurna Goa’ programme.
Focusing on the progress achieved in the Agriculture and Education sector, Dr Sawant expressed happiness at Goa’s success in vegetable and flowers production which has thus reduced the import from other states.
“Under the reforms of Swayampurna Goa, our vegetable and produce imports have significantly decreased, It is important that we also focus on increasing green fodder production and adopting intercropping systems to achieve self-sustainability in animal husbandry and veterinary sectors,” emphasised Dr Sawant.
The Chief Minister also lauded the effort of the teachers for the implementation of NEP. He also underlined the importance of such video conferencing events especially to create awareness for facilitating the direct benefits for those in need.
