Don Bosco School Panjim edged past St. Antony’s HS, Monte De Guirim, 6-5 via penalty shoot-out in the North District Subroto Cup Football Tournament for Under-15 boys.
In a closely-contested final at Duler stadium, Mapusa; Don Bosco School and St. Antony’s HS were locked 1-1 in regulation time.
In the ensuing tie-breaker, Don Bosco tasted victory as Leon, Ashvin, Flevis, Ojas, Mathan and Sameer scored.
Don Bosco School Panjim, with Francis Raposo as head coach assisted by Keegan, are now through to the State Final of Subroto Cup Tournament. The winners of the final will then represent Goa at the National level.
