Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant inaugurated the Dry Waste Material Recovery Facility at Harvalem, Sankhali.
Hailed as a step towards environmental sustainability, this facility has been supported by Bisleri’s ‘Bottles for Change’ initiative and CSR efforts of Godrej Consumer Products. The initiative aims to divert plastic waste from landfills and foster a cleaner, greener future for the region.
The Chief Minister warned the hotels and industries not to dump their waste in villages, with suspension being the liable action.
“A clean environment is a shared responsibility, and the Government of Goa remains steadfast in supporting public and private initiatives that align with our vision of ‘Swachh Goem, Nital Goem’. Together, let us work towards a sustainable and pristine Goa!,” stated Dr Sawant.
