Goa Medical College successfully hosted a student exchange programme with Adelphi University, USA, promoting international academic collaboration.
The programme included an orientation by Dr. Francisco Couto and Dr. Jude Rodrigues from Goa Medical College, followed by insightful addresses by other leading faculty members of GMC including Dr. Uday Kakodkar, Dr. Jagadish Kakodkar, Dr. Rajesh Patil and Dr. Viraj Khandekar on college functioning, community health services, trauma management and departmental specifics.
Dr. Sandip R. Sardessai led discussions on medical teaching and extracurricular activities, while student council representatives shared their experiences.
The programme was made possible by the efforts of Bharat Bhise, who brought the delegation of students from Adelphi University, further strengthening the bond between the institutions.
The program concluded with a thoughtful address by Prof. Dr. S. M. Bandekar, the Dean of Goa Medical College, ensuring a valuable experience for the visiting students.
