DREAM SPORTS CHAMPIONSHIP FOOTBALL 2025: ASSAM DOWN GOA; JHARKHAND, DELHI & ODISHA REGISTER WINS

Assam came back from a goal deficit to beat Goa 2-1, while Jharkhand continued their winning form by beating Karnataka 3-0 in the Dream Sports Championship Football 2025 girls’ National Finals on Friday. Jharkhand had beaten Goa 6-2 in their opening game of the U-17 tournament on Wednesday.

Anamika Sanga opened the scoring for Jharkhand with an early strike in the 8th minute. Later, Sanjna Oraon and Rashmi Minz got their names on the score sheet in the second half.  Sanjna scored in the 75th minute and Rashmi in the 90th minute to hand their team a comfortable win. 

In the other morning match, Assam came back from a one goal deficit in the first half against Goa to win the match 2-1. Pearl Fernandes gave Goa the lead in the 39th minute. However, Assam equalised through Karina Narah in the 54th minute and Rupi Barla, the Assam captain put her team 2-1 ahead with a goal in the 71st minute. Assam had beaten Karnataka 2-0 on Wednesday.

In the evening matches, Delhi beat Rajasthan 3-2 in a closely fought match. The goal-scorers for Delhi were Neetika Negi (23rd min), Deeva (43rd min) and captain D Anitha in the 63rd minute.

The Rajasthan goal-scorers were Manju Kanwar (46th min) and captain Sanju Kanwar (74th min). The second match of the evening saw Odisha beat Kerala 3-0. The Odisha goal-scorers were Ipsita Rout  (4th and 7th min) and Kiran Deep (62nd min).
