48 HOURS SHORT FILM-MAKING COMPETITION REGISTRATION BEGINS

As part of the upcoming Goa State Film Festival 2025, Entertainment Society of Goa will organise a short film-making competition titled “48 Hours Short Film Making Competition.” The topic for the competition will be announced on 2nd August 2025 at 10 AM. Participants will be required to submit their completed films within 48 hours of the topic announcement, i.e., by 4th August 2025 before 10 AM at ESG office.

The aim/objective of this competition is to recognise excellence in short film-making, provide opportunities to connect the short film-making community through networking and collaborative projects, provide an opportunity to experience the best work of local film-making talent, to build an audience for the work of short filmmakers, to develop the skill of film-making using minimal resources and locating young and fresh talent, revealed vice-chairperson of ESG, Delilah Lobo at a press conference.

Registration has started today (19th July 2025) and ends on 28th July 2025 at 5:00 PM. There is no registration fee. Completed forms should be submitted at the Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG) office. For more information on rules, regulations, eligibility criteria and to download the forms, visit: www.esg.co.in. The competition has different awards as listed below:
Best Film –  Rs. 25,000
Best Director – Rs. 15,000
Best Cinematographer – Rs. 15,000
Best Editor – Rs. 15,000
Best Actor (male) – Rs. 15,000
Best Actor (female) – Rs 15,000

Meanwhile, the 10th, 11th and 12th edition of Goa State Film Festival 2025 will get underway on the 14th August and conclude on 17th. Delegate registration is now open.
