Disability Rights Association of Goa (DRAG) in association with Caritas Goa, launched ‘Freedom from Physical Inaccessibility’ campaign with the unveiling of the ‘Yes To Access’ App in the presence of Varsha Naik, Director of Directorate of Empowerment of Persons with Disability, Government of Goa; at a State-Level Advocacy programme on Deaf Blindness organised by Caritas Goa.
The app enables members of society to conduct access audit of any public place and rate the establishment in terms of physical accessibility for persons with disability and elderly thereby forcing the establishment to become accessible at the earliest if they want to improve their ratings.

Persons with Disability can also view the app to check the physical accessibility of any establishment before visiting the place. The app can be downloaded from playstore. Its mandatory under Rights of Persons with Disability Act 2016 for all public places including private establishments to be accessible for Persons with Disability and the elderly.
Shruti Singh of Sense International; Mriselda Monteiro, Dy. Director Directorate of Empowerment of Persons with Disability, Govt of Goa; and Fr. Maverick Fernandes, Director of Caritas Goa, and Avelino de Sa, DRAG President, were also present for the launch.
