The port is a natural resource that must be fully utilised—not only for trade but also to support our growing sectors like pharmaceuticals, which contribute over 8% of global production from a small state like ours. With upgraded infrastructure, including cranes, MPA is taking the right steps, and I urge industries to make the most of these facilities.”

Pravimal Abhishek added: “The operationalisation of the container terminal at Mormugao Port is a long-awaited milestone that will directly benefit Goa’s MSMEs and industries by reducing logistics costs and enabling faster exports. Instead of transporting cargo to JNPT and Navi Mumbai, our industries can now access world-class facilities right here in Goa.”
Echoing this vision,Shamil Ahmed, Managing Director of Delta Ports, said:“Goa has always been a national maritime gateway, and with modern infrastructure and multimodal connectivity, Mormugao Port is uniquely positioned to re-emerge as a container hub.
