For any sport to become popular, training facilities and expert coaches matter in a state like Goa where youngsters more often than not fail to realise that secret of success is the pursuit of excellence right from young age. That is where the premier multi-sport hubs like Panjim Gymkhana become very important as their continual quest to develop the infrastructure and bring in professional coaches, provide aspiring players the much-needed encouragement and right direction.
Avinash Bhavnani, who coaches at Mumbai Gymkhana, has been roped in as Head Coach at Panjim Gymkhana’s Squash facility, which has the backing of Goa Association of Squash headed by Vinod Parkkot (President) and Ravi Peris (Secretary).
WSF Level 1 certified coaches – Pintoo Rai and Rajab Ali are the Assistant Coaches. Under-15 children are eligible to join the coaching programme.
