NIO GOA TO HOST OPEN DAY ON 26TH SEPTEMBER, STUDENTS INVITED TO TAKE PART IN EXHIBITION ON MARINE RESOURCES

The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research-National Institute of Oceanography (CSIR -NIO), Goa, will host an Open Day on 26th September as part of the 84th Foundation Day celebrations of the CSIR.

The Open Day will be held from 9.30 am to 3.00 pm at the NIO, Dona Paula campus.

As part of the celebrations, the NIO has invited students across the State to participate in the exhibition on marine resources and instruments, where the scientific endeavours in ocean research will be exhibited.

The institute will screen several films related to ocean sciences for the students and a talk on ‘Careers in Oceanography’ will also be conducted.

The CSIR’s mission is to enhance the quality of life in India by developing innovative, competitive, and sustainable solutions through scientific research and technological development, fulfilling the goals of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
