CELEBRATING GOA’S COASTAL HERITAGE: RAPONKARANCHO SEA FOOD FESTIVAL 2025 OPENS AT ARAMBOL

Arambol resonated with flavours, music, and coastal traditions as Day 1 of the Raponkarancho Sea Food Festival 2025 set a vibrant and engaging tone for the celebrations. The festival beautifully showcased Goa’s rich maritime heritage through authentic seafood delicacies, live cultural performances, and the unmistakable spirit of the coastal fishing community.

The festival was formally inaugurated in the presence of MLA Jit Arolkar and Director of Tourism Kedar Naik, along with Deepak Narvekar, Deputy General Manager Marketing GTDC and others.

Minister for Tourism, Rohan A. Khaunte, stated: “Festivals such as the Raponkarancho Sea Food Festival play a vital role in preserving Goa’s traditional fishing heritage and culinary legacy. By celebrating local flavours, culture, and community participation, we are strengthening authentic, community-led tourism experiences that reflect the true essence of Goa.”

Kedar Naik highlighted the significance of such initiatives, saying, “This festival is a platform that brings together our fishing communities, local cuisine, and cultural traditions. It reflects our continued efforts to promote experiential tourism while ensuring that local communities remain at the heart of tourism development.”

Visitors experienced a wide array of traditional seafood preparations curated by local fishermen and culinary experts, offering an authentic taste of coastal Goa. The festive atmosphere was further enhanced by live performances, creating an immersive cultural experience for both locals and visitors.
